UHM/Yaadga Elects Alain Alidou Savadogo as New Chair


Ouagadougou: Members and supporters of the Union of Media Men of the Yaadga region (UHM/YAADGA) held their ordinary general assembly on Thursday where Alain Alidou Savadogo was elected to head the structure, AIB observed on site.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the media professionals of Yaadga convened to comply with the new provisions of Law No. 011/ALT of July 2025. Journalists, communicators, technicians, presenters, and members of the organization reviewed the outgoing board’s report before examining and adopting the organization’s statutes and internal regulations.

The work of the general assembly resulted in the election of a new executive board elected for a 5-year term and which will now be chaired by Alain Alidou Savadogo. The meeting concluded with a handover of responsibilities between the old and new board, and the presentation of a certificate of appreciation to the former treasurer Fatimata Ouédraogo for the work accomplished during her two terms.

Outgoing President Idrissa Nacanabo
wished the new Bureau every success and called on all media actors in the Yaadga region to mobilize and support the new team. The incoming President, Alain Alidou Savadogo, commended the work done by the previous board and reiterated his request for the continued support and expertise of outgoing President Idrissa Nacanabo. “I call for unity and solidarity among all media stakeholders in Yaadga to meet the organizational and communication challenges ahead,” he said.

The newly elected executive bureau of UHM/YAADGA includes Savadogo Alain Alidou as President, Ouédraogo Adama as Secretary General, Sawadogo Gnimi Pascal as Secretary for Training, Information and Mobilization, Simporé Fatimata as Secretary in Charge of Finance, and Gazambé Loukmane as Deputy Secretary in Charge of Finance.
