Ouagadougou: The 7th edition of the Rakir Days celebrates traditional values ??in Niou. The Rakir Association of Burkina Faso celebrated the 7th edition of the Rakir Days on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in the royal court of Chief Naba Karfo of Niou. This edition was organized under the patronage of the Chairman and CEO of the Wendwaogo Nabonswend Company, El Hadji Moustapha Souili.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the community of the commune of Niou celebrated this Saturday, July 26, the 7th edition of its day of conviviality with its neighbors and joking relatives. Placed under the banner of promoting and valuing joking relationships, this meeting aims to strengthen social cohesion, living together, and fraternity between different communities.
The event was marked by a tree-planting session, the presentation of certificates of recognition to the leaders of the three partner localities, and a shared meal. Representing the sponsor, Abel Zoungrana praised the organization of this initiative in a context where strengthening social cohesion is a priority. According to the president of the association, Noufou Oudraogo, a native of Niou, the Rakir Days are organized in turn in the communes of Niou, Tma-Bokin, and Boulsa.
