Yaadga IPO 2026 Kicks Off with 3,300 New Recruits Committed to National Service

Abuja: The Governor of the Yaadga region, Thomas Yampa, officially launched the 2026 edition of the compulsory patriotic immersion (IPO) on Tuesday at the Naaba Kango Regional Vocational High School in Ouahigouya with 3,300 participants, AIB observed on site.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony marked the beginning of an important journey for the new high school graduates hailing from the provinces of Loroum, Passor©, Yatenga, and Zondoma. These recruits gathered to listen attentively to the message delivered by the President of Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traor©. In his message, the President urged the recruits to cultivate a sense of patriotism, gain a deeper understanding of the nation's history, and stay informed about current geopolitical issues.

Governor Thomas Yampa emphasized the importance of the President's message, encouraging the trainees as being integral to the nation's future. He called on instructors to ensure that the program's guidelines were strictly adhered to. The ceremony was attended by key figures including the Regional Director in charge of Secondary Education, as well as administrative, religious, and customary authorities alongside representatives from various constituted bodies.

The mandatory patriotic immersion program, established by the Burkinabe government, aims to instill in young people a civic spirit, a sense of duty, and a commitment to the nation.
