Ouagadougou: A local resident donates a ton of rice and other food supplies to the conscripts participating in the patriotic immersion program in the province. The President and CEO of Christ Forage, Christ Oudraogo, a native of Bam province, handed over a donation of food on Tuesday in Kongoussi to the conscripts of the second cohort of the Mandatory Patriotic Immersion (IPO), in order to support their care during their stay.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation handover ceremony took place at the Kongoussi High Commission, under the chairmanship of the province's High Commissioner, Karim Oudraogo. The donation consists of one ton of rice, 60 liters of oil, three 200-liter drums, and two cartons of canned tomatoes.

The donor stated that this gesture responds to the call made by the High Commissioner to the sons and daughters of the province to support the success of the mandatory patriotic immersion organized this year in Bam. "I am a native of the province and we heard the call of the High Commissioner, who invites all sons and daughters to lend a hand so that we can succeed together in this patriotic immersion. That is why I made my modest contribution to help our younger brothers succeed in their immersion."

Christ Oudraogo emphasized the importance of collective efforts in building the nation. "We remain determined and committed to the good cause of the province and the Nation, in accordance with the calls of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor, who invites everyone to participate, in their own way, in the building of Burkina Faso," he added.

Upon receiving the donation, the High Commissioner of Bam, Karim Oudraogo, praised a patriotic gesture that demonstrates the commitment of the province's people to youth. He expressed his gratitude to the donor and invited other sons and daughters of Bam to follow this example in order to contribute to the smooth running of the mandatory patriotic immersion.

Since the announcement of this IPO session being held in the province, several nationals, opinion leaders, and members of civil society have shown their solidarity through contributions in kind and in cash. These various forms of support aim to assist this national initiative designed to strengthen the values of discipline, patriotism, and civic engagement among new high school graduates.
