Ouagadougou: The High Commissioner of the Tuy Province and President of the Provincial Cell of Mandatory Patriotic Immersion (IPO), Issiaka Segda, officially launched the Mandatory Patriotic Immersion of new baccalaureate graduates of the 2026 session at the Hound Provincial High School.

According to Burkina Information Agency, more than 500 conscripts from the seven communes of the province took part in the ceremony. The event was attended by administrative and security authorities, as well as those responsible for citizen monitoring. In his address, High Commissioner Issiaka Segda emphasized that the mandatory patriotic immersion is essential for the social and republican rebuilding of Burkina Faso. He highlighted the significance of Tuy province having its own patriotic immersion center, describing it as a "victory" and a sign of the province's strength and commitment to shaping future leaders.

He further praised the vision of the country's highest authorities, noting that the program places civic responsibility, discipline, and patriotism at the heart of educating the intellectual elite. The High Commissioner urged recruits to display discipline, diligence, and attentiveness towards trainers. He also called on facilitators and supervisors to maintain professionalism and rigor to ensure the session's success.

The ceremony featured close-order drill demonstrations by the IPO 2025 recruits, performances by local artists, a broadcast message from the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, to the recruits, and tree planting on the provincial high school grounds.
