Ouagadougou: The Minister of Family and Solidarity, Lieutenant-Colonel Passowend Plagie Kabor, urged the 507 conscripts of the mandatory patriotic immersion (IPO) in Bam province in Kongoussi to seize this training as an opportunity to become disciplined, patriotic citizens committed to building a sovereign Burkina Faso, AIB observed.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the minister carried a message from the President of Faso and the Prime Minister to encourage the young high school graduates and to inquire about the progress of their immersion. After congratulating the conscripts on their success in the baccalaureate, she reminded them that the diploma represents the beginning of new responsibilities towards the nation.

Minister Kabor emphasized that mandatory patriotic immersion is an opportunity offered to this generation to acquire the values of discipline, integrity, patriotism, solidarity, and sacrifice. 'This patriotic immersion is not a punishment. It is an opportunity that the Comrade President of Faso is offering you,' she insisted, inviting the young people to take full advantage of this training to become actors in the development of the country.

She also urged the conscripts to prioritize work, reject dependency, and become young people capable of proposing solutions to the challenges facing Burkina Faso. At the end of her exchange with the young people, the minister planted a tree on the grounds of the training site at the Kongoussi municipal high school, the maintenance of which she entrusted to two young conscripts.

The minister then shared a meal with the conscripts in a friendly atmosphere. On the menu was fish and bean, a typical Burkinabe dish, which the minister enjoyed alongside the young conscripts, marking her closeness to them and her support for this civic training initiative.
