Ouagadougou: A concert called 'Gospel Wakati' took place on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the Casimir Kone hall in Bobo-Dioulasso, with the aim of promoting Christian music through performances by artists.
According to Burkina Information Agency, singer Kenanyah, a guest at the concert, felt that this initiative deserved support. "This type of initiative is a blessing for us, because it allows us to spread the message of the Gospel through music and to edify hearts," she said.
The evening brought together gospel music professionals in an atmosphere marked by praise, joy, and meditation. Promoter Pauline Zoungrana/Kiendrebeogo expressed her delight at the turnout. "We want to offer a structured environment for artists and technicians so they can fully express their talent and professionalize gospel music," she explained.
According to Pauline Zoungrana, the concert was the culmination of a five-day training course on sound engineering techniques. This course brought together working technicians as well as individuals eager to learn about careers in sound. She explained that the evening was designed to allow participants to put the knowledge acquired during the training into practice and to further develop their skills.
