Ouagadougou: The municipality provides 400,000 CFA francs to the VDP of Djibo
The municipality of Nassoumbou has demonstrated its commitment to regional security by donating 400,000 CFA francs to the municipality of Djibo. This financial support is designated for the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) who are actively involved in safeguarding the area.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the official handover of the funds took place on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the Djibo town hall. The delegation from Nassoumbou, led by Vincent G. DAYAMBA, Comrade President of the Special Delegation (PDS), was responsible for delivering the donation. The funds were accepted by Hubert DRABO, the Comrade PDS of Djibo, alongside members of the special delegation.
Upon receipt of the funds, the PDS Comrade from Djibo expressed gratitude towards Nassoumbou for their supportive gesture. This financial aid exemplifies the cooperative spirit between the two municipalities, highlighting their shared efforts to enhance security in Djibo.
