Ouagadougou: The municipal authorities of Solenzo appreciate the appearance of the agricultural VDP fields: The president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Solenzo, Marou Ilboudo, accompanied by Captain Jean De Dieu Kafando and other communal authorities, made a visit this Monday to the field of the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) agricultural of Solenzo, located on the Solenzo-Sakl axis, a farming hamlet of Ki.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this visit allowed the local authorities to inquire about the progress of the crops and the working conditions of the agricultural volunteers. On site, the visitors observed a generally promising state of the crops, particularly the cereals, which continue to develop thanks to the recent rains.

However, some of the plots remain heavily overgrown with weeds, requiring weeding and maintenance operations to allow the plants to better benefit from the nutrients and moisture in the soil.

President Marou Ilboudo commended the efforts of the agricultural volunteers in maintaining the fields and encouraged them to persevere despite the challenges encountered during the growing season. He specifically urged them to continue their plot maintenance work, focusing on weeding to protect crops and improve yields.

Captain Kafando, for his part, encouraged the farmers to remain mobilized and vigilant in carrying out their agricultural activities. He urged them to spare no effort in maintaining the fields until the crops reach maturity. The local authorities reaffirmed their willingness to support the agricultural volunteers and the farmers in their efforts to ensure a successful agricultural season.
