Ouagadougou: Adja Kadidiata Nabaloum, a renowned healer, has been serving her community in Guesna, a village located about twelve kilometers from Bouss, for the past two years. She receives a significant number of visitors daily, who seek her assistance for a range of issues.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Nabaloum opened her doors to the local press on August 22, 2026, to share insights into her healing practices and her commitment to her community. She reported that she sees approximately a hundred people a day, hailing from various backgrounds, who consult her for help with issues related to natural or mystical ailments, prosperity, career success, and job searching.
Nabaloum employs the use of plants and sacrifices to aid those who seek her help. For ailments that require modern medical intervention, she refers individuals to local health facilities, maintaining a collaborative relationship with health professionals to ensure the well-being of the population.
Nabaloum’s father, Souleymane Nabaloum, recounted that her healing gift emerged when she was 12 years old while the family was living in Ivory Coast, a time marked by behavioral issues and disappearances. Since then, she relocated to Koudougou in the province of Boulkiemd before returning to her native village of Guesna.
Nabaloum emphasizes that her healing work is driven by a sense of duty to the community, not monetary gain. She does not demand payment prior to offering her services; instead, satisfied clients often express their gratitude with gifts, which enables her to sustain herself and invest further in her practice.
Beyond individual healing, Nabaloum has facilitated the formation of several unions between men and women following their treatment. Her social contributions extend to supporting the elderly and impoverished in the village with food donations and assistance.
Local testimonies speak highly of the warm reception and attentive care provided by Nabaloum. Oudraogo Ramata from Ivory Coast shared her recovery story from an illness she believed was spirit-related, crediting Nabaloum for her healing. Rachel Bouda from Villy, in Boulkiemd, also shared her positive experience, having regained her health and subsequently marrying in Guesna. She is now a content mother, feeling blessed by the outcome.
Concluding the interview, Nabaloum and her father extended blessings to the President of Faso and his government for their efforts in restoring national sovereignty. As a member of the “Wend la Tiipa” healers’ association, Nabaloum was honored as an ambassador of peace in 2024.
