Ouagadougou: Minister Mathias Traor, head of the Ministry of Servants of the People, conducted a visit to Orodara to engage with conscripts participating in the mandatory patriotic immersion (IPO) program in Kndougou province and to assess their training conditions.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the visit was part of efforts to monitor and support the 2026 mandatory patriotic immersion initiative. This program aims to instill values such as civic-mindedness, discipline, patriotism, and civic engagement among the youth.

During his visit, Minister Traor attended various activities, starting with a breakfast at Diongolo Traor Provincial High School, followed by the traditional flag-raising ceremony. He then proceeded to the “A” and “B” school centers to engage with supervisors and participants, gaining insights into the ongoing training processes.

Minister Traor expressed satisfaction with the implementation of the training program, acknowledging the commitment of stakeholders and the positive outcomes evident in the recruits’ discipline and patriotism. He praised the efforts of supervisors, administrative authorities, and partners ensuring the program’s smooth operation and urged the recruits to uphold their dedication and responsibility throughout the training.

Concluding his visit, Minister Traor extended a courtesy call to the customary authorities in Orodara, including the canton and village chiefs, expressing gratitude for their support in the success of the patriotic immersion initiative in the province.
