Ouagadougou: The regional director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education (DREPPNF) of Nazinon, Adama Congo, has deemed the results of the school and professional examinations for the 2025-2026 school year satisfactory. This announcement was made in Nobr during a workshop dedicated to evaluating the organization and outcomes of the examinations.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the workshop gathered participants from the three provinces of the region: Baz¨ga, Nahouri, and Zoundwogo. Inspector Issa Sawadogo, head of the examinations and competitions department, presented statistical data regarding various examinations. The Primary School Certificate (CEP) saw a success rate of 97.09% in the Nazinon region, with 17,507 out of 18,032 candidates declared successful. Adama Congo expressed pride in the region’s performance, highlighting that the region ranked second nationally with this success rate.
The professional examinations, specifically the Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude for Primary School Teaching (CAPPE) and the Higher Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude (CESAP), were also considered satisfactory. Discussions were held on the Non-Formal Education Certification Assessment (ECENF), where statistics showed a significant increase in candidates, with all independent candidates passing their exams.
Camarade Congo, on this occasion, urged education stakeholders to promote the use of national languages in their localities and emphasized the importance of social cohesion for the success of educational activities. Participants were encouraged to communicate effectively and be tolerant to handle differences and challenges diligently.
The workshop also identified challenges in organizing the examinations, such as insufficient materials in the Basic Education Districts (CEB) and a lack of budget for securing the transport of examination papers. Participants noted that provincial directors had to deliver envelopes containing exam subjects to some municipalities without any security escort. Proposals were made to enhance the organization and security of examinations for the 2026-2027 school year.
