Ouagadougou: Firefighters from the Second Fire and Rescue Company (CIS2) managed to contain a fire that erupted on Tuesday in a series of shops located in sector 01, district no. 1 of the city. The incident was reported by AIB, sourced from the fire company.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the National Fire Brigade shared on its Facebook page that the swift response of the rescue teams, along with the effective actions of the firefighters and ASECNA teams, helped contain the fire within its initial perimeter. Their efforts led to the complete extinguishment of the fire, preventing it from spreading to nearby infrastructure.

The National Fire Brigade (BNSP) has urged the public to adhere to safety guidelines concerning the use, handling, and storage of goods and various items to mitigate the risk of similar fire incidents in the future.
