Ouagadougou: Media professionals from the Yaadga region convened on September 9, 2026, at the Regional Directorate of Communication's meeting room for a crucial consultation meeting aimed at enhancing the structure and formalization of information and communication actors in the region.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative was spearheaded by Sbastien Monn, the Regional Director of Communication in Yaadga. The gathering included a diverse group of correspondents and journalists from various press outlets, encompassing both public and private media entities in the region. The agenda featured two key presentations-one by Xavier Blemyigr, the Regional Director of RTB, Yaadga, on the theme "Structuring and Formalizing Media Actors," and another by the Regional Director of Communication discussing the "Decree Issuing Press Cards and Passes."

Comrade Monn emphasized the consultation framework's objective to bolster the professionalism of media personnel within the region. He highlighted the necessity for journalists to receive proper training, the need for private media outlets to achieve a structured operation, and the collective responsibility to combat disinformation. Monn underscored the significance of press cards and passes and the critical role of information cross-checking and collection, particularly in fostering social cohesion.
