Ouagadougou: Sheikh Idrissa Mon has made a generous donation of six tons of cement and three truckloads of gravel to the Faso Mbo agency, received by Chief Warrant Officer Inoussa Kanazo in Sabtenga, within the commune of Tenkodogo. The donation aims to aid the beautification work in the city of Naaba Zoungrana as part of the Faso Mbo initiative.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Sheikh Idrissa Mon's contribution is driven by his commitment to community-based initiatives, reflecting the values imparted to him by his parents. He expressed the importance of supporting efforts that benefit the entire community, stating, "When you see someone doing work that benefits the entire community, you must help them, according to what little you have."
Sheikh Mon has also encouraged his followers to participate in the initiative, emphasizing that even if the elderly cannot physically contribute to the work, they can still provide moral and material support to inspire those actively involved. Additionally, he called on religious communities to join in supporting the country's development.
Chief Warrant Officer Kanazo accepted the donation on behalf of the Faso Mbo agency during the event in Sabtenga. The donation represents an initial step, with Sheikh Mon expressing his intention to continue supporting the initiative as his resources allow.
