Ouagadougou: The civil society groups applaud the achievements of the RPP during the flag-raising ceremony. The raising of the colours for the month of September took place on Monday, September 7, 2026, at the high commission of Gourcy under the sign of the assessment of the four years in power of President Ibrahim Traor, an opportunity taken for the living forces to salute the achievements of the popular progressive revolution.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the September flag-raising ceremony provided an opportunity for the High Commissioner of the province of Zondoma, Aboubacar Sidiki Nab¨, to give a brief overview of the results of the four years of the Patriotic Movement for Safeguarding and Restoration (MPSR2) under the leadership of President Ibrahim Traor. The High Commissioner highlighted significant progress across various sectors, emphasizing security improvements through the strengthening of the army, which he claimed led to the reconquest of more than 70% of the national territory.
The ceremony also highlighted advancements in education, health, infrastructure, economy, and agriculture. Notable reforms in these sectors were presented, illustrating the transformative impact of the current administration. The strategic development plan RELANCE was introduced as a beacon of hope, with an ambitious goal to mobilize 36 trillion CFA francs. The High Commissioner urged the populace to support the authorities by actively engaging in the implementation of this plan with energy and discipline.
Acknowledgement was given to education stakeholders who achieved national excellence awards, including best primary school teaching supervisor, best student in the BAC series "A", best secondary school teacher in the Yaadga Region, and a 4th national prize in the CEP 2026.
The flag-raising event was conducted by the Republican Security Company (CRS) of Gourcy, accompanied by the national anthem performed by the patriotic immersions of the province, creating a sense of unity and national pride among attendees.
