Kombissiri Police Seize 97 Cartons of Spoiled Broiler Chickens

Kombissiri: A total of 97 cartons of spoiled broiler chickens were seized by the city's national police. The national police of the city of Kombissiri arrested an individual on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, in Kombissiri for trafficking and fraud involving 97 cartons of spoiled broiler chickens worth 3,200,000 CFA francs.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the arrest was part of Operation "WIBGA-3" conducted by officers from the central police station in Kombissiri. The individual, described as a male in his thirties, was found with the cartons of spoiled chickens, which were reportedly brought in from a neighboring country.

The contaminated cargo was subsequently transferred to the provincial directorate of animal and fisheries resources of Baz¨ga. The authorities decided to incinerate the compromised goods on the morning of Thursday, September 10, 2026.

The incineration was carried out at a designated site in sector 5 of Kombissiri. The event was attended by approximately thirty citizens, along with administrative and paramilitary authorities. Among those present was the High Commissioner of Baz¨ga, Tn Justine Kientega, who oversaw the operation under the security coverage provided by the elements of the central police station of Kombissiri.
