More Than 200 Women Transform Djibasso Departmental High School

Djibasso: More than 200 women responded this Friday, September 11, 2026, in Djibasso, to the call of the "Djibasso wake up" initiative for a cleanup operation at the Djibasso departmental high school, giving a new look to the establishment in two hours of work.

According to Burkina Information Agency, armed with brooms, rakes, and other tools, the women cleaned and sanitized the high school, in a mobilization that follows awareness-raising actions on hygiene and sanitation carried out as part of the initiative.

The provincial director of Communication and Culture of Koosin, Sanou Dembl, the first vice-president of the special delegation of Djibasso, Wilfried Ganam, and the principal of the departmental high school, Hamadou Zida, attended the activity. Moved by this strong mobilization, Dembl Sanou praised the commitment of the women.

'Your mobilization moves us. We will invite the regional women's representative from Bankui/Sourou to come to Djibasso, in order to see your commitment, gather your concerns and see how we can support you,' he reassured.

According to the initiators, this operation illustrates the support of the population for the "Djibasso wake up" initiative, which aims to create a citizen dynamic in favor of local development.
