Young People and Agricultural VDPs Undertake Road Rehabilitation in Ban

Ouagadougou: Young people from OuSda V4 rehabilitate the Boumbin-OuSda V4 road. Young people and agricultural VDPs from OuSda V4, in the commune of Ban, began community work on Friday to rehabilitate the road linking Boumbin to OuSda V4.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative was led by the youth president, Mr. Mnn Abdou, who organized the community to address the deteriorated sections of the road. Participants, armed with shovels and hoes, gathered and transported earth and stones with the help of tricycles to repair the most damaged areas. The operation cost, totaling 52,200 CFA francs, was allocated to cover expenses such as water, juice, and fuel for the tricycles.

This collective effort is aimed at enhancing the movement of people and goods between Boumbin and OuSda V4. The road, which branches off to the right from the Tenkodogo direction at the Boumbin Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS), is crucial for local connectivity.

The chief of the village of OuSda V4, who was present at the site, commended the youth for their dedication and solidarity. He appealed for government support to ensure a more permanent solution to the road's rehabilitation, highlighting that the infrastructure has been in use for 49 years.

The village chief urged public authorities to focus on improving this vital infrastructure, which is essential for the mobility and economic activities of the local population.
