Houet: Safiatou Murielle GrSce Oudraogo, appointed on August 18, 2026, was officially installed on Thursday, September 10, 2026, in her role as Director of Bobo-Dioulasso TV, the municipal digital television station.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the inauguration ceremony took place in the reception hall of Bobo-Dioulasso City Hall, in the presence of several local stakeholders. In its current phase of deployment, entirely web-based, Bobo-Dioulasso TV aims to be a new tool for institutional and community communication for the Municipality of Bobo-Dioulasso. Its ambition is to modernize public communication methods, diversify broadcasting channels, and facilitate public access to municipal information.
The new audiovisual platform will offer reports, interviews, video clips, web magazines, themed programs, and short content for social media. These productions will cover current events and community initiatives, as well as topics related to sanitation, taxation, road safety, civic engagement, and local development.
Bobo-Dioulasso TV also aims to contribute to strengthening dialogue between the community and its citizens through informational content, awareness campaigns, and the dissemination of local public policies. Promoting the cultural, touristic, and economic heritage of the city of Sya is also among the new television station's main editorial priorities. Content dedicated to tangible and intangible heritage, community initiatives, local stakeholders, and the city's economic potential should thus contribute to enhancing Bobo-Dioulasso's appeal.
During her installation, Safiatou Murielle GrSce Oudraogo reaffirmed her availability and commitment to leading this mission professionally. She emphasized the importance of teamwork, coordination among the various stakeholders, and the regular production of high-quality, relevant content that addresses the concerns of the population.
The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Bobo-Dioulasso municipality, Laurent Kontogom, congratulated the new Director on her appointment. He urged her to demonstrate availability, professionalism, and commitment in fulfilling her mission, while also calling on the various stakeholders to support the new structure.
