Ouagadougou: Teachers from public primary schools in the commune of Zons received ten days of training on the transcription of the Bissa language and the didactics of bi-plurilingual education, according to the harmonized formula. The session was held at the Zons A public primary school, under the supervision of the Zons Basic Education District (CEB).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the training was led by Inspector Oumarou Dabr, with the support of Inspectors Martin Yabr, Dieudonn Zinsoni, and Thophile Karignan. The head of the CEB of Zons, Tobour Yigo, indicated that this training aims to strengthen the skills of teachers for an effective application of the principles and strategies of the harmonized formula. He stressed the importance of teaching materials, including guides and manuals for teachers and students, as an essential condition for the success of this approach.

Mr. Yigo emphasized the significance of an integrated pedagogical approach in developing lesson plans. He believes that providing these tools will enable teachers to better master the recommended techniques. Training will continue in designated educational support areas from the start of the school year, with reinforcement sessions planned for early October. These sessions will include practical lessons involving students.

"As this is a new approach, it is necessary to organize practical lessons so that teachers can become familiar with the different techniques and strategies recommended," the inspector explained. He reiterated the necessity of having manuals and guides for the rigorous implementation of bilingual and multilingual education.
