Ouagadougou: The Secretary General of the Mouhoun province, Boureima Oudraogo, inaugurated the Educational Animation Days (JAP) in Ddougou, gathering public and private school teachers to discuss the theme: "Implementation of reforms in secondary education: development of skills through vocational training and scientific and technological education".

According to Burkina Information Agency, the JAP serves as a platform for educational stakeholders to exchange ideas and enhance their capacities. The Regional Director of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training, Raoul Sanon, acknowledged the dedication of teachers and supervisors, attributing their efforts to the region's educational successes from the previous school year.

Sanon introduced new terminologies in certain subjects, specifically in History and Geography, where teachers are encouraged to incorporate the concept of decolonized knowledge. He mentioned ongoing efforts to develop teaching guides that will aid educators in applying the new guidelines and in effectively conveying knowledge.

Boureima Oudraogo commended the educational personnel for their resilience and dedication. He highlighted the academic achievements of the previous year, attributing the positive outcomes to the commitment of the teaching staff. Oudraogo encouraged educators to leverage the insights gained from JAP to enhance the quality of education.

The JAP 2026 aligns with national educational reforms emphasizing vocational training and scientific education. The initiative aims to equip learners with practical skills applicable after their studies. Over the course of the event, four key themes will be explored through various activities to help teachers grasp the ongoing reforms and improve their educational methods.
