Villages of Brba Unite to Pave Medical Center in Hound

Ouagadougou: The villages of Brba are contributing to the paving of the CMA in Hound. The populations of the 29 villages of the commune of Brba participated, from August 12 to September 14, 2026, in the making of paving stones intended for the paving of the Medical Center with surgical unit (CMA) of Hound as part of the presidential initiative for community development (IPDC) in the province of Tuy.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the paving initiative for the Hound Community Center (CMA) was launched by the High Commissioner of Tuy Province, Issiaka Segda. The village of Ouakuy kicked off the participation of the Brba municipality on August 12, 2026. On this occasion, Bambou Bihoun, the co-sponsor of the initiative on behalf of the municipality, presented a contribution of 500,000 CFA francs.

The 29 villages then took turns visiting the CMA site in Hound, according to a schedule established by the president of the special delegation of the Brba commune in collaboration with the Village Development Committees (CVDs), community watch groups, and youth organizations. The residents traveled to Hound by motorcycle, tricycle, or public transportation. The commune's participation concluded on September 14th with the village of Yab.

According to Elyse Bazoun, head of the National Coordination for Citizen Vigilance (CNAVC) in Brba, various community leaders participated in organizing this activity. Inocent Nbi, President of the Special Delegation of the Brba municipality, indicated that each village exceeded its quota of participants, which was set based on its able-bodied population. "Some villages had more than 300 participants," he specified.
