Dozo Communal Coordination Strengthens Security Efforts in Kyon

Sangui‰/kyon: The communal coordination of the Dozos of Kyon was officially presented on August 21, 2026, to the customary authorities of all the villages of the commune. This large-scale meeting mobilized more than 200 members of the brotherhood. Placed under the chairmanship of the president of the municipal coordination, Bakolma Bationo, this initiative aims to strengthen the contribution of the Dozos to security efforts and the fight against terrorism in the locality, where they have been operating for several years.

According to Burkina Information Agency, at the start of the interventions, the president of the coordination, Bakolma Bationo, praised the efforts made by the government as well as the unwavering commitment of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), actions which made it possible to push back the terrorist threat from the communal territory. "Our goal is to fight alongside the combat forces in synergy to fight against terrorism," he maintained.

In turn, the traditional authorities welcomed this inclusive approach. While endorsing the coordination, they urged the population to be civic-minded and to strictly respect the laws in force in the country. "In a context of war, youth must be united and defend themselves according to the rules of the art; indiscipline and division do not build a nation," said the village chief of Kyon.

The ceremony concluded with a parade of Dozos through the main streets of Kyon, notably stopping at the central market, in front of the Town Hall and in the courtyard of the customary chiefs.
