Ouagadougou:The National Police of Nahouri continued its campaign to promote helmet use on September 22, 2026, as part of Operation "Head Shield."

According to Burkina Information Agency, the central commissioner of the city of P stated that the operation's goal is to increase awareness and encourage motorcyclists to wear helmets. The operation's principle is straightforward: motorcyclists without helmets are not permitted to circulate or enter the city.

Any two-wheeled vehicle user not wearing a helmet when entering, exiting, or circulating in the city is turned back and firmly advised to equip themselves with a helmet before resuming their journey.

National Police officials expressed satisfaction with the day's outcomes, noting a positive response and a gradual increase in public awareness about road safety issues.
