Yargo:As the 4th anniversary of Captain Ibrahim Traor's leadership approaches, the municipality of Yargo in Kourittenga province reflects on the progress achieved under his governance.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Achille Kambou, President of the Special Delegation of Yargo, expressed satisfaction with the tangible advancements benefiting the local population. Since taking office in 2024, Kambou has emphasized the positive impact of state projects like the Emergency Project for Territorial Development and Resilience (PUDTR).
These initiatives have resulted in significant investments in education, health, and infrastructure. The standardization of primary and secondary schools, alongside the construction and equipping of new health centers, has improved local services. Additionally, the development of rural roads has enhanced connectivity across the municipality's 19 villages.
Kambou asserted that these developments represent a substantial leap forward for Yargo, attributing the success to state support. Without this contribution, the municipality would not have been able to undertake such projects, providing a much-needed relief for its residents.
In terms of security and social cohesion, Marius Nar, Vice-President of the Citizen Watch of Yargo, noted the restoration of peace in the area. Through the patriotic efforts of citizens, collaboration with the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and the actions of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), daily life has returned to normalcy, allowing residents to pursue their activities safely.
Monique Nar/Louga, the communal coordinator of women in Yargo, expressed gratitude towards Captain Traor for his leadership, citing the preservation of social cohesion and local development. She highlighted the ongoing pursuit of income-generating activities for women in the community.
As the anniversary of Captain Traor's administration is marked, Achille Kambou called for citizens to reinforce national unity and support the pursuit of sovereignty. He emphasized that unity is essential for achieving a prosperous and sovereign Burkina Faso.
