B©r©ba:Tuy Forestry agents in Tuy Province held their quarterly meeting in B©r©ba to review activities for the third quarter, discuss challenges encountered, and consider future prospects.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting took place on Thursday, September 24, 2026. Inocent N©bi©, the president of the special municipal delegation of B©r©ba, opened the proceedings, expressing gratitude for the choice of his municipality as the meeting venue. He also thanked the provincial director of water and forests of Tuy and his team for their efforts.
N©bila Paulin Bationo, the provincial director of water and forestry for Tuy, explained that the quarterly meetings are held on a rotating basis across different departments in the province. This approach allows agents to learn about the varying conditions in other areas and share their experiences.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the activities from the past quarter, focusing on the difficulties they faced and potential solutions for improvement. Reforestation was a significant activity during this period, with over 100,000 seedlings planted.
The province's revenue collection efforts exceeded expectations, achieving a rate over 185% of the third-quarter projections. The cumulative collection rate for the first three quarters surpassed 145% of the annual projections. Mr. Bationo described these results as satisfactory and credited the success to the collective efforts of all stakeholders involved. He also pointed out the improved security situation in the province, which has facilitated operations. He encouraged the staff to continue their hard work to further advance the province's development.
