At Least 500 Kourittenga Residents Expected at Night of the RPP in Tenkodogo

Tenkodogo:Koupla: The High Commissioner of Kourittenga province, Moctar Ilboudo, led a meeting on Friday, September 25, 2026, in Koupla to prepare for the participation of at least 500 people from the province in the Night of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP). This event is scheduled to take place on September 30, 2026, at the Place de la Nation in Tenkodogo.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting brought together Presidents of special delegations, association leaders, cultural and development actors, and media professionals to discuss participation modalities. The High Commissioner, alongside Provincial Secretary General Wenceslas Ndo, presented a report from a regional preparatory meeting, outlining the objectives and encouraging discussions among participants.

The High Commissioner emphasized that the Night of the RPP is a collective celebration, meant to be more than a festive event. It serves as a platform for reflection and mobilization around the goals of the Popular Progressive Revolution. He urged citizens to participate voluntarily, highlighting the importance of showing appreciation for the efforts made in the past four years.

The aim for Kourittenga is to mobilize at least 500 participants for the Tenkodogo event. Moctar Ilboudo called on all local communities to contribute to achieving this goal, stressing the importance of each commune's involvement to ensure a strong presence at the event.

Local council representatives committed to supporting the mobilization, targeting a minimum of 60 people per municipality. The cultural aspect will also feature prominently, with artists from the Nakamb region expected to perform, delivering messages aligned with current national events and RPP's objectives.

The Night of the RPP is part of the national celebration scheduled for September 30, 2026, under the slogan "The People Watch Over Their Revolution." It marks the fourth anniversary of Comrade Captain Ibrahim Traor©'s rise to power and will occur not only in Ouagadougou but also across the regions and in Burkina Faso's diplomatic missions.

Through these preparations, Kourittenga's provincial authorities aim to ensure significant participation in the Tenkodogo celebration, working towards the target of at least 500 attendees.
