Tenkodogo:A mobile registration session was organized for Togolese nationals residing in Tenkodogo by the Consulate of Togo in Burkina Faso, in collaboration with the Association of Togolese Nationals Residing in Tenkodogo (ATRT), on September 26, 2026. This effort resulted in the registration of 123 Togolese nationals aiming to secure their consular documents.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of ATRT, Kodjo Stphane Agnigbagno, stated that the initiative's goal is to simplify the identification process for Togolese nationals and facilitate their interactions with authorities by ensuring they possess necessary documentation for various life situations.
Speaking on behalf of the consular delegation, Tamimou Akpo, the second counselor at the Togolese consulate in Burkina Faso, emphasized the importance of respecting Burkina Faso's laws and regulations. He encouraged Togolese nationals to view their association as a supportive community built on solidarity and mutual respect.
Akpo praised ATRT's dynamism and urged its leaders to continue fostering solidarity and cohesion within the community. He highlighted that the organization of the mobile court hearing demonstrates the Togolese authorities' intent to make consular services more accessible to citizens living abroad. He also expressed gratitude to the municipal authorities of Tenkodogo for their support, which facilitated the successful execution of the event.
The ATRT aims to use this mobile session to enhance member identification and strengthen ties between the Togolese community in Tenkodogo and the consular services of Togo in Burkina Faso.
