Yakro:The Burkina Faso Junior Stallions clinched third place in the WAFU-B U17 girls' development tournament, concluding with a decisive 8-0 victory over the Niger U17 girls' team at the Yakro Scientific High School stadium.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Burkinabe team dominated the match, with Fatim Ouattara scoring four goals, Yasmina Sakand adding two, and Radia Kinda and Tewend Simpor each contributing a goal. This victory ensured the team met the objectives set by their coach, Zakaria Zeba.
The competition ended with Nigeria taking first place, followed by Ghana in second. Ivory Coast, Togo, and Niger finished fourth, fifth, and sixth respectively. All participating teams were awarded medals and a trophy. Ghana's Gloria Adomako emerged as the tournament's top scorer with six goals, and Nigeria's Oluwakemi Adegbuyi was named the best player.
