Diapangou Residents Unite for Weekly Clean-Up Efforts

Diapangou:Residents of the Diapangou commune gathered on Saturday, September 26, 2026, for a weekly one-hour clean-up session focused on maintaining the cleanliness of their community. The initiative saw the participation of youth associations, women's movements, Civil Society Organizations, patriotic immersion conscripts, and local residents.

According to Burkina Information Agency, participants armed with brooms, rakes, and shovels began their efforts early in the morning, targeting the main roads, the large market, and several public spaces to sweep and remove waste.

This clean-up drive, led by Jean Youma, President of the Special Delegation of Diapangou, is part of a citizen-led initiative aimed at promoting hygiene and encouraging sustainable cleanliness practices.

Fran§ois Kondja Lompo, director of the BONCELIMANIA center, expressed pride in the communal effort, highlighting its educational value in fostering cleanliness around homes and businesses.

Jean Youma praised the involvement of various socio-professional groups and reiterated the special delegation's commitment to maintaining this momentum to enhance cleanliness, civic-mindedness, and cohesion within Diapangou.
