Baskour©:The Baskour© Basic Education District (CEB) celebrated its School Excellence Day on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Walgo Public Primary School. The event was dedicated to honoring the outstanding achievements of students and teachers from the second year of middle school (CM2).
According to Burkina Information Agency, this year's edition showcased an impressive 99.49% success rate in the Primary School Certificate (CEP) within the Baskour© CEB. This achievement is attributed to the collaborative efforts of students, teachers, parents, and all educational stakeholders involved.
During the ceremony, 26 students, equally divided between girls and boys, were acknowledged for their academic excellence. Each award-winning student received a school kit and a bicycle. Moreover, 13 Year 6 teachers were recognized with financial rewards and certificates of recognition for their contributions.
Special prizes were also distributed to individuals who have significantly contributed to the educational development of the municipality. Students expressed gratitude for the recognition, with Ida Mariam Thiomboano and Abdoul-Karim Zagr© thanking organizers, education officials, teachers, and parents for their support.
Kouka Belemkoabga, a CM2 teacher with a 100% success rate in the CEP, expressed appreciation for the acknowledgment given to educators and emphasized the motivational impact of such recognition. She pledged continued efforts to support student success.
Placide Tougma, Head of the Baskour© Basic Education District, highlighted the day's objective of recognizing and encouraging educational excellence. He appreciated the community's support and efforts in education.
The ceremony's patron, Alassane Nar©, reiterated his commitment to supporting educational initiatives, while the President of the special delegation of Baskour© urged the community to sustain their involvement in development efforts.
