Real du Faso Triumphs in National Youth Sports Games Football Final

Bobo-Dioulasso:The 4th National Youth Sports Games concluded at the Wobi Stadium with Real du Faso from the Kadiogo region winning the football final against Lowgoin FC from Bankui with a 2-1 victory. The event gathered young athletes aged 15 to 19 from all 13 regions of Burkina Faso over ten days to highlight and foster sporting talent.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the closing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training, Moumouni Zoungrana, who represented the Minister of Sports, Youth and Employment. The Governor of the Guiriko region, Mariama Konat©/Gnanou, delivered a message from the Minister of Sports, emphasizing the importance of sports in promoting social cohesion and expressing gratitude to President Captain Ibrahim Traor© for his support through the Presidential Initiative for Youth and Elite Sport.

The minister encouraged the youth to remain disciplined and diligent, and invited them to the upcoming 5th edition of the National Sports Days. In her remarks, Minister Annick Pikbougoum/Zingu© Ouattara praised the dedication of the young athletes and reiterated the significance of the "Faso Rel¨ve Sportive" development program, aimed at nurturing young talent over the next five years.

Real du Faso's victory was rewarded with medals, balls, a set of jerseys, the trophy, and a cash prize, while Lowgoin FC received balls, jerseys, and a cash prize. Minister Zoungrana congratulated the organizers for their role in discovering young talent and fostering unity among the youth from various regions, highlighting the potential of Burkinab¨ youth to contribute to national development.

Abdallah Golo, the permanent secretary for youth sports development, expressed satisfaction with the successful organization of the games, which provided a valuable platform for talent assessment and promotion. He emphasized the importance of training in developing future athletic leaders.

The event, themed "The next generation, lever of the sporting revolution for a healthy and responsible youth", served as a crucial platform for identifying and nurturing young sporting talents in Burkina Faso.
