Sapouy:As Captain Ibrahim Traor marks his fourth year in power as President of Burkina Faso, residents of Sapouy express their perspectives on his leadership.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Niangao Souleymane, a community leader, supports the president, citing achievements in security through the local manufacture of armored vehicles and the industrialization of the country, including the TEXFORCES-BF factory and processing units for agricultural products. Infrastructure projects, such as modern universities, schools, and the Ouagadougou-Bobo-Dioulasso highway, are also praised. Souleymane highlights the fight against corruption and urges Traor to continue educational efforts across Africa.
Paulin Nama, a notable at the royal court of Sapouy, commends efforts towards economic sovereignty, infrastructure development, and agricultural support through free tractor provision. Nama also appreciates the extension of the bus network to rural areas and the promotion of road safety.
Tangnan Neyoua, president of the Sapouy citizens' watch group, likens Traor to Thomas Sankara, praising modernization, dam construction, and urban regulation efforts. However, he calls for administrative reforms to align with the progressive revolution.
Comrade Yolande Oudraogo supports recent administrative changes but notes inequalities in the civil service, advocating for improved social protection for families of civil servants who die in service. She also suggests recognizing these individuals as "heroes of the nation."
Mathieu Nama, youth spokesperson in Ziro province, lauds Traor's leadership for infrastructure and food self-sufficiency initiatives while highlighting challenges like fertilizer shortages and the need for better healthcare equipment in provinces.
