Nobr:The Thomas Sankara Caravan, which departed from P´, made a significant stopover in Nobr, located in the Zoundwogo province of the Nazinon region, as it journeys toward the Thomas Sankara Memorial in Ouagadougou.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this citizen initiative, led by Comrade Mahamoudou Lamine Koutibou, aims to support the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP) in commemoration of the fourth year since Captain Ibrahim Traor's rise to power. The caravan is named after Thomas Sankara to signify the continued influence of the Democratic and Popular Revolution initiated by Captain Sankara, especially following the advent of the MPSR 2.
During their stop in Nobr, the caravan was warmly received in two key stages. The first reception occurred at the Nobr town hall, where prominent community members, including Mr. Saba Bonkoungou, president of the civic watch group, and Mr. Pierre Kafando, president of the special delegation of the municipality, expressed their commendation and support for the initiative. Kombi Naaba Zoanga, a member of the citizen watch group, highlighted the community's joy in welcoming the caravan, emphasizing its role in strengthening their commitment to the RPP.
The second reception took place at the Nobr Territorial Gendarmerie Brigade, commanded by Chief Warrant Officer Moussa Gansonr. Here, the caravan members delivered a letter of appreciation to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), recognizing their sacrifices in securing the national territory and aiding in the resettlement of displaced populations. Chief Warrant Officer Gansonr expressed his gratitude for the letter, which he noted would boost the morale of the troops, and praised the caravan's efforts, encouraging Burkinab© youth to emulate their patriotic dedication.
The caravan, maintaining its steadfast support for the FDS, is set to continue its journey to Ouagadougou. It also plans to organize a discussion on patriotism and revolution at the Naaba Koanga roundabout in Nobr, aimed at engaging the community's civic-minded individuals.
