Bougnounou:Lieutenant Kabor Wendssida Abel officially took command of the Bougnounou Departmental Water and Forestry Service, located in Ziro Province, succeeding Lieutenant Nikima Daogo. This transition occurred at a handover ceremony held on Thursday, October 1, 2026, in the town hall meeting room.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was attended by a large and mobilized population, including the president of the special delegation of Bougnounou, defense and security forces, several departmental service heads, and customary and religious authorities.
After five years of service, Lieutenant Nikima Daogo handed over his position to Lieutenant Kabor Wendssida Abel. The new lieutenant was installed by Souleymane Ira, the prefect and president of the special delegation.
In his address, Lieutenant Kabor Wendssida Abel expressed gratitude to his predecessor for his work and pledged to continue the initiatives already underway. He emphasized the importance of collaboration with staff and stakeholders to meet the department's objectives.
