Ouagadougou:Minister of State Construction Mikalou Sidib, along with Minister Ousmane Ouattara, Secretary General of the Government and the Council of Ministers, led a ceremony in Bobo-Dioulasso where the National Urban Land Development Company (SONATUR) donated 2 million CFA francs to the Dogona Primary Health Center (CSPS). During the event, the foundation stone for a perimeter wall was laid, and the construction of a well for the Dogona Public Primary School was initiated.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation from SONATUR aims to procure medical equipment to enhance healthcare services at the Dogona Primary Health Center. This follows the resolution of essential needs such as electricity and drinking water.
Minister Sidib stated that the launch of the school fencing project and the drilling of a well were in response to complaints received after the school's opening. Additionally, SONATUR contributed a check for one million CFA francs to support the school's operations.
Boureima Ouattara, Director General of SONATUR, explained that these initiatives are part of the company's social policy, aimed at supporting displaced and resettled populations in designated reception areas. The improvements are expected to bolster the center's technical capabilities, provide quality healthcare, and ensure a secure learning environment for students with continuous access to drinking water.
Laurent Kontogom, president of the Special Delegation of the municipality of Bobo-Dioulasso, commended SONATUR for its social responsibility efforts, especially concerning resettled communities.
