CEB of Ramongo Celebrates World Teachers’ Day and Supports Disabled Students

Ramongo:On the occasion of World Teachers' Day, celebrated annually on October 5, the Basic Education District (CEB) of Ramongo organized a ceremony to honor educational professionals and support students with disabilities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event took place at the Ramongo-Tanguen A and B public primary schools, gathering teachers and supervisors from the CEB. The ceremony was initiated by Wendtenda Paul Marie Zoma, head of the CEB of Ramongo, in collaboration with social partners, including unions such as SYNATEB, SNEAB, SNEP, and SYNAPEC.

Various representatives, including those from trade union organizations, the head of human resources of the CEB, and the deans of teachers and supervisors, commended the day dedicated to recognizing the teaching profession. They emphasized the need for education stakeholders to strengthen their commitment, work collaboratively, and maintain open communication. Ongoing professional development was highlighted as essential for enhancing the effectiveness of teachers.

The head of the CEB of Ramongo praised teachers' contributions and acknowledged the support from national authorities and the MEBAPLN for dedicating a day to honor the teaching profession. Teachers were urged to continue making sacrifices, implement school reforms effectively, and support their classroom missions.

The ceremony included the presentation of certificates to outstanding educators and the donation of tricycles to two disabled students to facilitate their school commute. This fulfilled a promise made during the Excellence Day celebration held last August, made possible by contributions from generous individuals.

Additionally, plants were distributed to certain stakeholders as part of the district's environmental protection efforts. Comrade Zoma expressed gratitude to the donors and encouraged all stakeholders to prioritize education within the community.
