Awareness Campaign Highlights Helmet Safety for Teachers in Nobr

Nobr:Teachers in the Basic Education District of Nobr attended an awareness session on road safety during their annual pedagogical conference. The session focused on the importance of wearing helmets, a message delivered by the territorial gendarmerie brigade and the President of the Special Delegation of the commune, Pierre Kafando.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative was part of the 2026 educational conference's opening ceremony. Chief Warrant Officer Kassouma Damani of the National Gendarmerie led the session, emphasizing the legal requirement for helmet use to reduce traffic accidents in the province of Zoundwogo. Damani noted that the period for awareness had ended, and enforcement would begin on October 1, 2026.

Pierre Kafando, who exemplified the message by wearing a helmet to the event, praised the gendarmerie's efforts and encouraged attendees to adopt helmet use as a regular practice for their safety and that of their families.

Sandaogo Prosper Ilboudo, speaking on behalf of the teachers, expressed gratitude to the organizers and committed to advocating for helmet use in schools and communities.
