Kombissiri:Primary school teachers in Kombissiri have commenced their annual pedagogical conference with a focus on implementing reforms in the education system. The conference began on September 7, 2026, in the Basic Education District of Kombissiri 1, mirroring activities in other districts within the Bazèga province.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the conference is set to last four days and will tackle two primary themes. The main theme is "Development and exploitation of integration situations," while the secondary theme is "Decolonization of knowledge and endogenization of curricula for teaching history, geography, and civic and moral education."
The purpose of this gathering is to enhance teachers' abilities to implement reforms for the improvement of the Burkinabe school system. Pascal Tapsoba, head of the CEB of Kombissiri 1, emphasized the importance of these themes for both educators and students.
To accommodate the number of participants, teachers have been organized into four different sites, following a detailed schedule that includes plenary sessions and workshops. This arrangement aims to ensure the effective conduct of the conference.
The conference proceedings were inaugurated by Hamado Nacoulma, the representative of the President of the special delegation of the commune of Kombissiri. The event provides an opportunity for teachers to enhance their skills and for students to benefit from improved educational practices.
