PDS Vows to Tackle School Furniture Shortage in Solenzo

Solenzo:Banwa The President of the special delegation (PDS) of Solenzo, Marou Ilboudo, has pledged to address the ongoing issue of insufficient desks, benches, and chairs in local schools. This commitment was made during the annual pedagogical conference for primary school teachers on October 7, 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the conference was attended by Heads of Basic Education Districts from Solenzo 1 and 2, the provincial director's representative for education, and numerous teachers. The event focused on the theme "Development and exploitation of integration situations," highlighted by the Minister of Basic Education's speech.

The PDS encouraged educators to actively participate in the conference activities, emphasizing the importance of strengthening stakeholder capacities to enhance teaching and learning quality. Marou Ilboudo also assured the teachers of his dedication to resolving challenges affecting their working conditions, particularly the shortage of essential furniture in some schools.

Following the opening ceremony, attendees proceeded to workshop sessions aimed at exploring the conference theme in depth, discussing its various aspects, and considering practical classroom applications.
