Satiri Departmental High School Emphasizes Discipline and Civic Responsibility

Satiri:Houet The Satiri County High School conducted a flag-raising ceremony on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, focusing on discipline, civic responsibility, and encouraging students to enhance their academic performance. This event gathered municipal, administrative, traditional, religious authorities, teachers, students, and other educational community members.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the principal, Zaniban Bond, urged students to intensify their study efforts, expressing concern over the school's unsatisfactory academic outcomes while recognizing the teachers' dedication. Bond also appealed to parents to actively monitor their children's academic progress.

Ousseini Zango, the brigade commander of the territorial brigade, highlighted the importance of vigilance, particularly stressing the necessity for students and the public to wear motorcycle helmets to prevent traffic accidents. Emmanuel Oudraogo, representing the Departmental Security Party of Satiri, commended the ceremony's attendance and conveyed messages from the President of Burkina Faso, urging the consumption of local products.

In his address, Oudraogo encouraged students to adopt discipline as a fundamental value, emphasizing punctuality, adherence to rules, and active engagement in their studies. He also announced that motorcyclists without helmets would be denied access to the town hall courtyard. The ceremony concluded with wishes for a successful 2026-2027 school year.
