Bouroum-Bouroum:The president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Bouroum-Bouroum, Brahima Kindo, has called on the local population to favor local products to support national production and strengthen the Burkinabe economy.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Kindo made this appeal during the national flag-raising ceremony at the Bouroum-Bouroum A Public Primary School. This event was part of the second phase of the third edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC), scheduled from October 2 to 16, 2026.
Kindo emphasized the importance of making each purchase an act of economic sovereignty for Burkina Faso. He urged the community to prioritize locally sourced products, promote their use in public procurement and school and administrative canteens, and serve more local dishes at ceremonies.
He also called on traders to promote national products and criticized practices such as fraud, smuggling, speculation, and the circumvention of national preference in public markets.
The ceremony, attended by administrative, customary, and religious authorities, teachers, and the local population, was held under the theme "Let's produce Burkinabe!" with the slogan "All for Made in Burkina let's make every purchase an act of sovereignty." During the event, students performed the national anthem in the Lobiri language.
