Over 700 Teachers Gather for Annual Pedagogical Conference in Sno

Sampelga:Sno More than 700 primary school teachers from the province of Sno have commenced their annual pedagogical conference, focusing on the development and integration of educational scenarios and the adaptation of curricula in history, geography, and civic and moral education.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the conference, scheduled from October 7 to 10, 2026, is designed to enhance teachers' professional skills, thereby improving learning quality and promoting student success at the primary school level.

The conference discussions are centered around two primary themes the development and exploitation of integration situations and the endogenization of history, geography, and civic and moral education curricula.

In Sampelga, Inoussa Tao, president of the special municipal delegation, inaugurated the event. He encouraged participants to fully engage with the conference content and apply it effectively in classroom settings.

Tao highlighted the conference as a valuable platform for exchanging ideas, sharing experiences, and building capacities among educators. He also relayed the Minister of Basic Education's appreciation for educators' resilience and commitment amid challenging security conditions.

Abdoulaye Bokoum, head of the Basic Education District of Sampelga, expressed optimism that the conference would enhance teachers' professional skills and improve teaching methods. He stressed the importance of adapting curricula to reflect Burkina Faso's socio-cultural and historical contexts.

The conference venues in Dori were visited by education directors, including Noufou Tao and Hamadou Boureima Dicko, underscoring the event's significance in fostering knowledge consolidation, experience sharing, and practice adaptation among Sno's educators.
