Kampti:The national colors were raised at the Sainte-Thérèse-de-l'Enfant-Jésus school in Kampti on Tuesday, bringing together local authorities, community leaders, educational supervisors, teachers, and students to emphasize civic duty and patriotism.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony, originally scheduled for Monday, October 5, was postponed to Tuesday due to heavy rainfall that affected the town throughout the day.
The event was chaired by Comrade Massahiba Aimé Soulama, President of the Special Delegation of Kampti. It included participation from key community figures, civil society actors, school supervisors, directors, and students from the basic education district.
A significant moment was the singing of the national anthem in Lobiri by the students, highlighting the importance of national languages and cultures in expressing patriotic sentiments.
During the ceremony, a message from the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, was delivered as part of the National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Civic Participation. Additionally, the representative of the commander of the Kampti territorial gendarmerie brigade provided an educational session on the symbolism of the national flag and proper conduct during its raising.
Participants were encouraged to view the ceremony as a learning opportunity about civic responsibility, the importance of national symbols, and fostering a sense of belonging to the national community.
