Annual Teachers’ Conference Focuses on Educational Reform and Integration

Manga:Reforming the school system takes center stage at the annual teachers' pedagogical conference, emphasizing the development of integration strategies and curriculum reform.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the conference aims to enhance teachers' skills in curriculum development, set against a backdrop of territorial reclamation and national renewal, with schools assuming a pivotal role.

The conference work is centered on two main themes "The development and exploitation of integration situations" and "The decolonization of knowledge and the endogenization of history, geography, and civic and moral education curricula." Teachers are encouraged to engage in open and constructive discussions to derive practical outcomes for immediate application in schools.

Dominique Dipama, the provincial director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education in Zoundwéogo, expressed the expectation that participants will thoroughly engage with these themes. He highlighted that these conferences are part of a broader effort to reform the education system through an integrated pedagogical approach.

Prosper Zoungrana, head of the Manga Basic Education Center, expressed gratitude to the municipal, provincial, and regional authorities for their support. He noted the theme of integration would be explored in greater depth this year to enhance teachers' ability to deliver quality education to students.

Approximately 360 teachers from over 34 schools are participating in the 2026 session. Zoungrana encouraged active participation and mastery of content to integrate it into teaching practices effectively. The event was attended by various educational officials, including Adama Congo, the regional director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education of Nazinon.
