Ouahigouya:The Regional Federation of Tourism Actors of Yaadga (FRAT-YDG) was officially established during a general assembly held on October 9. The event, which took place in Ouahigouya, resulted in the formation of an executive board composed of 13 members.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting was chaired by Souleymane Oudraogo, the Provincial Director in charge of culture and tourism of Yatenga, who was acting on behalf of the Regional Director. The assembly brought together various stakeholders from the tourism sector, including hoteliers, restaurateurs, travel agents, tourist guides, and others.

The participants at the assembly focused on amending and adopting the Federation's bylaws before proceeding to elect the executive board. Comrade Oudraogo Jean de Zanna was elected as the president of the newly formed federation.

The newly elected president expressed his gratitude to the staff of the DRCCAT/Yaadga for their support and committed to working towards the development of the tourism sector in the region. The federation's goals include uniting and representing professional tourism organizations, enhancing technical and organizational capacities, facilitating collaboration with government and private entities, and promoting sustainable tourism practices in Burkina Faso.
