Dandé:The special delegation of the commune of Dandé, under the leadership of President Adama Zoundi, conducted field visits from October 7 to 10, 2026. These visits were part of the second phase of the third edition of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC). The initiative focused on maintaining the agricultural fields of the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), the agricultural VDPs, and the Ministry in charge of Agriculture, Animal and Fisheries Resources (MARAH).
According to Burkina Information Agency, the visits included assessments of various production sites and the weeding of plots to enhance crop development and yield prospects. Despite challenges posed by insufficient rainfall, the delegation found the crops, including maize, cowpeas, okra, soybeans, and rice, to be generally in good condition and nearing harvest.
The event witnessed active participation from members of the special delegation, local administrative services, civil society organizations, associations, and other community stakeholders. This broad mobilization highlights the community's commitment to solidarity and support for agricultural productivity.
The field visits are a segment of the JEPPC, conducted from October 2nd to 16th, 2026, across the national territory. The initiative aims to foster patriotism, civic engagement, social cohesion, and community-driven development efforts.
Additionally, the head of the special delegation mentioned that the JEPPC in Dandé would feature other activities, including awareness sessions on marriage registration, a blood drive, a local cuisine day at the town hall, and the promotion of traditional attire. These activities underscore Dandé's dedication to using the JEPPC as a platform for community mobilization and development.
