Coalla Special Delegation Honored for Youth Employment Initiatives

Ouagadougou:Abdourazac Gansore, the president of the Coalla Special Delegation (PDS), received an accolade on Friday in the 'Employment Promotion' category at the 6th annual City Awards. This recognition highlights Coalla's efforts in vocational training and support for the socio-professional integration of young people.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the official ceremony for the 6th edition of the City Trophies was held at the Pacific Hotel in Ouagadougou. The event was organized by "Le Courrier du Maire" in collaboration with OSD Communication, aiming to honor presidents of special delegations in Burkina Faso who excel in managing local public affairs.

In the category of "Employment Promotion," Abdourazac Gansore was acknowledged for Coalla's initiatives in training and professionally integrating young people. Since 2024, the municipality has been implementing a training and equipment program through the Employment Opportunity Referent service. This program enhances youth employability across sectors such as agriculture, livestock farming, tailoring, mechanics, and driver's license training.

More than a hundred young individuals have benefited from these initiatives, which aim to ease their integration into the workforce and support the development of their own activities. The municipality has funded these efforts internally, underscoring its commitment to prioritizing youth employability in local development.

Upon accepting the award, Gansore attributed this achievement to teamwork and collective dedication. He expressed gratitude towards his superiors, the Defense and Security Forces, members of the special delegation, town hall staff, technical services, and the people of Coalla for their support in executing these development actions.
