Sangui:The Organization of Sport and Culture in Primary School (OSCEP) of the Basic Education District (CEB) in Pouni has renewed its executive board, signaling a fresh start for its upcoming term. The renewal process took place on October 21 at the Tita C school, following the completion of the previous term, and included discussions on future activities.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting was attended by key figures, including Boukary Tiemtor, a representative from the CEB's high school support and monitoring office (BASCL). During the opening, Tiemtor highlighted that the moral and financial reports of the past term were presented and approved by the general assembly prior to the school finals.
The assembly also focused on addressing various challenges faced in the previous term. These included issues like insufficient food and refreshments for students during cultural finals, low teacher involvement, limited public engagement, and inactive participation from the previous committee members, only four of whom were actively involved.
To overcome these challenges, the assembly proposed the formation of subcommittees to support the leadership team during final stages. Additionally, they recommended increasing teacher awareness and revising the rules governing school participation in OSCEP activities.
The new executive committee, consisting of eight members, was formed to drive the organization's objectives forward. The members include Secretary General Mohamadi Kientga from Naabziniguin, Deputy Secretary General Abdoul Dabir from Pousma, Secretary General for Information Moussa Ilboudo from Tiyl A, Deputy Secretary General for Information Fidle Kiogo from Karabol, Treasurer Nemata Zoungrana from Pouni-Sud B, Deputy Treasurer Ella Julie Kiendrebogo/Oudraogo from Tita E, Secretary General for Organization Abdramane Yamogo from Bando Napon, and Deputy Secretary General for Organization Salifou Zongo from Villy Moukouan.
This newly appointed board aims to prioritize improving competition logistics, enhancing educational community involvement, and boosting public engagement in sport and culture activities within primary schools.
